PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY

 DENSITY OF MERCURY

I´m going to show you how to calculate the density of the mercurywith the mass and he volume.

MATERIALS:
  1. A scale
  2. Two simple tube
  3. A graduated test tube
  4. Mercury
PROCEDURE
  1. Measure the volume of the mercury with  a graduated test tuve and put it in a simple tuve.
  2. Put the simple tuve on the scale and press `tare´. Now weigh the sample tube filled with mercury.
  3. Analyse of the result:         mass= 70,3g  volume=5,2cm3
  4. calculate the density: We divided the mass by the volume: 13,5g/cm3
 THE DENSITY IS 13,5G/CM3
