PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY
DENSITY OF MERCURY
I´m going to show you how to calculate the density of the mercurywith the mass and he volume.
MATERIALS:
I´m going to show you how to calculate the density of the mercurywith the mass and he volume.
MATERIALS:
- A scale
- Two simple tube
- A graduated test tube
- Mercury
- Measure the volume of the mercury with a graduated test tuve and put it in a simple tuve.
- Put the simple tuve on the scale and press `tare´. Now weigh the sample tube filled with mercury.
- Analyse of the result: mass= 70,3g volume=5,2cm3
- calculate the density: We divided the mass by the volume: 13,5g/cm3
THE DENSITY IS 13,5G/CM3
